A neighbour, not a politician

I’m Chris Adams, and I’m running for Ward 1 Councillor in Greater Madawaska this fall because I believe our community deserves a strong, approachable voice at the council table, one that listens to residents and makes responsible, common-sense decisions.

Although I am a newer full-time resident, my family’s connection to this area goes back many years. My parents have owned property in the Vennachar area since the 1970s, giving us a long-standing connection to Calabogie and the greater Madawaska region.

I am an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer by trade. Throughout my career, I have worked around the world, managed maintenance departments, and for 12 years owned and operated a business at the Carp Airport. This experience has taught me the importance of working within budgets and being fiscally responsible, something I believe is essential at all levels of government.

My career began in the Canadian Armed Forces, where I worked alongside people from many different backgrounds. That experience reinforced the importance of listening, respecting different perspectives, and valuing every voice.

While I’ve lived and worked in many places, nowhere have I felt more welcomed than here. The care and sense of community in Calabogie and the greater Madawaska area is what inspired me to step forward and run for Council.

If elected, I will be approachable, transparent, and committed to listening to residents. My goal is to represent Ward 1 with honesty, common sense, and dedication to our community.
